Hello, and thank you for being here! I’m Claire (left) and here I am with my son Caleb and my friend Alecia, and her son Korey.

BouncingBee started when my maternity leave finished and the name was the result of some very funny and very sleep deprived conversations between myself and Alecia.

We've always been creative people and just a few months after we each emerged from the new born haze, we started to make! BouncingBee was born in February 2020 and although there have been a lot of challenges (thank you Covid) we established our business and have the most amazing plans.

Don't be fooled by the picture... our boys are now coming up to 4 years old and we are still dressing them in beautiful handmade.

Bouncingbee was set up to sew beautiful, high quality clothing that will last. All our garments carry the message "Pass me on when I'm outgrown".

Supporting other small British businesses is very important to us, so we try to source our raw materials in the UK. We always use recyclable packaging when we send out your orders.

Have you ever heard the saying ‘when you shop small an actual person does a little happy dance’? Well it’s true, our feet start tapping and the toddlers get a high five every time we make a sale... right before we rush off to the sewing machine to get that order made, packaged and posted off to its new home. So thank you for shopping small and keeping our toes tapping! 

The online doors are always open and we are now regulars at the monthly street market in Braintree. You can also meet us at a variety of other pop ups in and around Essex throughout the year. All handmade items are sewn to order, which means there can sometimes be a short delay, but rest assured, we will keep you informed if this is the case. Please let us know if your order is urgent and we will endeavour to make sure it arrives when you need it.
